After watching a documentary that was basically a 1.5 hour long commercial for OnlyFans, I am compelled to share the dark side of what is being presented as “easy money for people who are simply sexually liberated enough to sign up.”

Pornhub, RedTube, YouPorn, PornMD, PornIQ, GayTube, Tube8, XTube, Brazzers, Reality Kings, are just A FEW of the long list of sites MindGeek controls.
The aftermath of the cruelty I survived on those porn shoots has been a fear of people that I am only now overcoming. Every crime was recorded and lived on as masturbatory fuel for men. For a long time just walking down the street was hard because I never knew who had seen them. So I never looked up. I have learned to look people in the eye again, but it took years and distance from that time.
Most people believe that trafficking only affects children. I get it. We picture young, impressionable kids easily coerced or kidnapped by adults. But what do you think happens when someone turns 18? Are those young people not targeted? Do traffickers kick them out on their 18th birthday? I heard one survivor leader say, “trafficking children grow up to be trafficked adults.”
The true profiteers of prostitution are pimps, traffickers, and other predatory stakeholders. As such, the commercial sex industry has devised a clever cover narrative that conceals the deeper truth of what is actually happening to those being sold, preventing the outside world from seeing the injustice.
When most people hear this term, they tend to envision a young child, kidnapped, handcuffed to a radiator, locked in a room somewhere with a gross, sweaty, pedophile showing up to pay the trafficker and have his way with the young child in the room. While those scenarios may absolutely take place, that is not the most COMMON scenario of trafficking here in America.
